New School Year

These are some pictures from my youth group. Three years ago I started a Bible study with some junior high and high school kids at the skatepark, there were three kids. Today there are anywhere from 30-50 kids on a Tuesday night. I know that numbers are not what matters, but it has been encouraging to see God grow such a simple desire to reach hurting kids and make it into a vibrant place for them to chill, hear the gospel, and skateboard. God has also brought some of the most sacrificing leaders in to help structure skatechurch as it has grown. Justin Bolger has the biggest heart ever, giving not just his time but also food, rides, counseling, and teaching. We have also had different organizations step up and support us in many ways. The Vintage Church in Templeton as well as Youth for Christ have been providing food and support this year and that is a blessing. Many thanks to the Atown skatepark for opening it up to the youth of the city ever week.

I was honored to be a part of Clayton's memorial service last Saturday. I was able to celebrate his life with over 2,000 other people.

I took some engagement pictures for one of my good friends. Brandon Hall. He is one of the greatest people I know. I am so excited that he is getting married to Jenna, she is perfect for him in every way.

Samples Coming

So over the last year I have fought against putting samples up on my website because of the terrible loss of quality, but now I am finally giving in.
In a few weeks I will be putting up a wedding samples or two on my website so that people can watch a quick piece of a wedding I've done and get the visual gist of what their day would look like on film.

Also, here are some stills from a short war film I did recently, maybe I will post a sample of that too. We will see...

So this past weekend I finally worked up the courage to go up with my dad in his plane. He got his pilots license, but it still made me super nervous.
But then after we got up there, it wasn't that bad.

Yosemite

My wife and I took a short camping trip to the Yosemite valley floor this week with a couple of our friends.
It was awesome.

Two weeks from today I get to film Alie and Zack's wedding in San Luis Obispo.
I've gotten to hang out and skate with Zack a few times and he's a rad guy.
I'm stoked to film their big day.

There are fewer places in the world I would rather be than right there next to my wife in a field of golden poppies. We really are blessed to live where we do. This weekend Mike and I filmed Jonathan and Heather's wedding at Le Sage. It was awesome being able to film an outdoor wedding, though the wind threw some unexpected variables our way. I will put some stills up as soon as I can; this week begins the editing process.
